Cookie's Real Hair Care was launched in February 2010, initially under the name RealHaireCareAfrica. Since then it has evolved into so much more.

After almost 20 years of relaxing my hair, in 2010 I finally decided to start cutting off my relaxed ends and to start growing out my natural hair.

The documentation of my transition is for those of you also struggling to tame, style, and treat the rebellious kinks, curls and waves that make a wild and beautiful head of black hair.
